Normally Open Solenoid Valve: When the coil is not energized, the valve is open and the medium flows normally; when the coil is energized and attracted, the valve closes and the pipeline is cut off, the opposite of the action of a normally closed valve. It is often used in equipment requiring normal ventilation and negative pressure/gas supply shutdown upon power failure.

Internal Structure: Coil, moving iron core, return spring, valve body, sealing diaphragm, multiple interfaces (two-way/three-way). The structure is the same as a normally closed valve body, only the spring assembly direction and the initial position of the valve core are reversed.

Working Principle: De-energized (Normal): The spring pulls the valve core open, the valve port is open, the inlet and outlet are connected, and gas/liquid flows smoothly (normally open and conductive).

Electrified: The coil generates electromagnetic attraction, pulling the valve core and compressing the spring. The sealing gasket seals the valve port, the channel is closed, and the medium stops flowing.

Power-off Reset: The magnetic force disappears, the spring pushes open the valve core, and the valve automatically reopens to resume ventilation.

Power-off Reset: Two-position, three-way normally open valve

Three ports: Air inlet (P), Working port (A), Pressure relief port (R)

Power off: P and A are connected, air source/negative pressure directly connects to the load; A and R are disconnected.

Power on: P is closed, A is connected to R, the chamber pressure is released and cut off.

Product Features

The device maintains unobstructed airflow without power supply in standby mode, reducing long-term power consumption; Power is only applied briefly when airflow interruption or pressure maintenance is required, resulting in less coil heating and a longer lifespan; Suitable for negative pressure maintenance and continuous air supply conditions.

Applicable Scenarios

Negative pressure beauty device: Normally, the vacuum pump is directly connected to the suction nozzle; power on instantly cuts off airflow and releases pressure, achieving intermittent adsorption;

Gas sampling equipment: Normally, the airflow is open; power on cuts off the airflow for closed sampling;

Small water circuit equipment: Normally, water is supplied; power on shuts off the water flow.

Simplified distinction between normally open and normally closed ventilation systems:

Normally open: Open when power is off, closed when power is on (allows continuous ventilation, briefly de-energized)

Normally closed: Closed when power is off, open when power is on (is permanently off, briefly ventilated)
